Day Thirteen

Leaving our not so scenic campsite, we dropped into Big Pete Meadow and then Little Pete Meadow, shortly reaching the Bishop Pass Trail. Here we crossed the Dusy Branch on a bridge before continuing down Le Conte Canyon. After passing the confluence of Middle Fork Kings River and Palisade Creek, we started climbing up Palisade Creek, eventually reaching Deer Meadow and soon, Glacier Creek. We camped just below the base of the Golden Staircase in a pleasant camping area.
